What is recorded here

Marked as a circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and with two smaller circular enclosures attached to the SE (ext. diam. c. 25m) and S (ext. diam. c. 40m) on the 1927 ed. Situated on a broad plateau, it was removed c. 1960. It is visible as a slightly dished, grass-covered area (diam. c. 25m) with traces of a smaller enclosure attached to the SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 22 July 2010
