What is recorded here

Situated on the N-facing slope of a SW-NE valley, and in a clearing in a coniferous forest. Circular grass-covered platform (diam. 10m; H 0.4-0.6m) defined by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 2-3m) and outer fern-covered bank (Wth 3m; ext. and int. H 0.7-1.2m). There is a break in the bank (Wth 0.5m) at SE, but there is no entrance (max. ext. diam. 23.4m N-S). Enclosure (WA006-026----) is c. 60m to the SW, and fulachta fia (WA006-050----) and (WA006-051----) are c. 200m to the WNW and NW respectively. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
