Marked faintly as a large embanked circular enclosure on the 1840 (ext. diam. c. 55m) and 1925 (diam. c. 50m) eds of the OS 6-inch maps. Situated in pasture on a shelf on the S bank of the SW-NE Clodiagh River and c. 30m from the stream, it is not visible at ground level. Rath (WA006-011----) is c. 160m to the SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 13-08-2009.
