What is recorded here

There is a reference to a possible megalithic tomb in a field opposite the new creamery in the valley of Aughnabrone Stream. This field is reclaimed and there is no evidence of a monument. (Poole 1930) Poole, B. (1930) New County Waterford Dolmen. JRSAI, vol. 60, 194. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 21 October 2010

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
