What is recorded here

On the break of a steep N-facing slope in forestry. In an area where mature forestry has been felled and new young conifers planted. The ground has been ploughed up by forestry trenches. The area is heavily overgrown with gorse, heather and ferns. A trackway runs E-W roughly where the enclosure is located. The enclosure was identified from an aerial photograph taken in May 1977 (GSI S. 723/4) and is not well defined on the photograph. There is no visible trace of this monument at ground level. This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
