What is recorded here

On Sugarloaf Hill in the Knockmealdown Mountain range. A low, roughly circular cairn (diam. c. 10m; H c. 1.25-1.5m) with moss and vegetation growing on the outer edges. Underlying rock, old red sandstone, is visible as outcrop under the cairn. In the W and E sectors there are passage-like alignments of slabs but these could be due to the underlying geology of parallel slabs of bedrock. There is clear evidence of modern disturbance, with cairn material re-arranged to form two prominent stacks (H c. 0.5m) and other stones removed to form initials.
