On a slight break on a W facing slope, land runs down to the River Suir c. 100m to W. Souterrain not marked on either 1st (1840) or 2nd (1904-05) ed. OS 6-inch map. Landowner at Cloghardeen House uncovered a portion of the souterrain which is presently covered with a metal sheet, the original lintel is missing. It is constructed with dry-stone walling and corbelled towards the roof. The interior was waterlogged at the time of inspection. There is no visible evidence above ground of an associated enclosure.
