What is recorded here

At foot of the Knockmealdown Mountains in marshy terrain with small streams running down hill into the marsh. Field system identified on aerial photograph (Air Corps V.309/2240-1). It consists of at least three fields, the most northerly being sub-divided from N to S. The area is now planted with conifers. There is no visible trace of the field system above ground. There is a possibility that the cropmarks shown on the aerial photograph are part of a drainage system. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 25 November 2013
