On a natural rise in hilly terrain, in an area of rock outcrop. A large, roughly oval enclosure (dims. c. 130m N-S; c. 110m E-W) indicated on both the 1st (1840) and 2nd (1907) ed. OS 6-inch map. The N-E-SE perimeter is defined by a field boundary and the S-W-N is overgrown with scrub. A smaller enclosure (TS087-011002-) is located immediately S.
