What is recorded here

Towards the base of a fairly steep SW-facing slope in undulating pasture in a reclaimed field. There is no visible trace of the monument above ground. It is depicted as a irregular rectangular enclosure (diam. c. 66m N-S; c. 49m E-W) on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map and as a raised oval area on the 1907 ed. (diam. c. 46m N-S; c. 35m E-W). There is a natural rise in the field roughly where the monument stood. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 10 February 2014

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
