What is recorded here

In St. Mary's graveyard (TS083-019020-) E of the E window of the church. Lying prostrate this tapering slab (L 1.88m; Wth at top 0.67m; Wth at base 0.5m) has a chamfered edge (Wth 0.04m) and is decorated with a seven-armed cross with fleur-de-lys terminals. Beneath the cross-head there is a three-barred knop. The cross shaft (Wth 0.05m) terminates with a curving calvary mount. There is a plain border (Wth 0.13m) around the decorated surface of the slab but no visible trace of any inscription. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 January 2015
