Just off crest of N-S ridge on a W-facing slope in gently undulating terrain. Field boundary runs roughly E-W past N quadrant, N of this the field is under grass. Area immediately W of ringfort has been quarried out, as indicated on 1904-05 ed. OS 6-inch map. The field to the S and E of the monument is under tillage, right up to outer edge of bank. Roughly circular area (diam. 22.5m NE-SE) enclosed by earthen bank (Wth 2m crest, 3.1m base; int. H 0.38m; ext. H 0.61m). W quadrant bank has been quarried out, very sheer drop to base of deep quarry, edge overgrown with scrub. Interior and bank obscured by lush grass and nettles and scrub in NW quadrant. Probable modern entrance (Wth 5.4m) in the SE quadrant.
