What is recorded here

On a natural rise in undulating terrain. Depicted as an oval enclosure (dims. c. 28m N-S; c. 34m E-W) surrounded by a single bank on the 1904-5 ed. OS 6-inch map. There is no visible trace of the enclosure above ground. It is visible as a circular cropmark on aerial photographs (CUCAP July 1970 BDR 77; ASIAP (28) 25-27). Two other smaller circular cropmarks are also visible on this aerial photograph, one c. 70m to the NW (TS082-047002-), the other c. 120m to the NE (TS082-047003-). This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
