What is recorded here

Just off the crest of a hill on an E-facing slope in lush pastureland, in gently undulating terrain. There is no visible trace of the enclosure above ground. The enclosure is marked on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular area with a townland boundary running immediately S of the S, a quarry to the W of the enclosure and a field boundary some c. 16m to the E, this latter has been removed. The enclosure is not indicated on the 1904-05 OS 6-inch map. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 03 February 2014

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
