What is recorded here

On very gentle S-facing slope, under tillage, in gently undulating terrain. Monument defined by scarp (H 1.7 over 1.8m) and a U-shaped fosse (Wth 1.3m; D 0.77m). Most of the E half of the ringfort has been destroyed by quarrying and a field boundary runs N-S along the eastern edge. The field in which the ringfort stands is under tillage, with ploughing up to the edge of the fosse. The interior, bank and fosse are heavily overgrown with scrub, brambles and nettles. The ringfort is depicted as being roughly circular on the 1904-05 ed. OS 6-inch map (diam. c. 41m). Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 22 January 2014

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
