On a NW-facing slope, just off crest of hill in undulating terrain. Surrounded by meadow to NE and pasture to SE. Bivallate ringfort (diam. c. 42m N-S and E-W) within a small area of woodland. The interior is heavily overgrown with scrub in the E half and brambles in the W half. It is enclosed by a broad internal bank (Wth 2.6m crest, 6.6m base; int. H 0.64m; ext. H 2.75m), flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 2.5m; D 2.57m) and external bank (Wth 1.6m crest, 3.8m base; ext. H 0.92m). There is a gap in the inner bank in the SE quadrant (Wth 1.4m) but no corresponding gap in the outer bank. Large mature beech trees growing around top of outer bank. Younger beech and conifers in interior. In the SW quadrant the outer face of the inner bank has been badly eroded.
