What is recorded here

On a slight break of a NW-facing slope, at the bottom of quite a steep hillock. In generally undulating terrain, under tillage. The ground level drops immediately NW of the castle. It is indicated on the 1st (1840) and 1904-05 ed. OS 6-inch maps. There is no visible trace of the castle above ground. A boundary wall immediately to the W and an outbuilding at the N end of the boundary wall are the only upstanding structures in the vicinity.
