What is recorded here

On a natural hillock in an area of outcrop at the edge of a flat river valley. The land slopes gradually to the N and NW, in rough pasture. The Thonoge River flows c. 150m to the NE. Only a portion of the wall (T 0.96m) of this church survives, composed of limestone rubble, roughly coursed and roughly aligned E-W, surviving for a length of 2.7m. At the S end of the W face of the surviving wall there is another wall (T 0.97m) projecting westward for 0.46m. Bedrock is very close to the surface in the graveyard. The church is roughly centrally placed within the graveyard (TS081-050001-), on the land sloping down to N. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 13 January 2014
