On a SE facing slope, in gently undulating terrain, under pasture. Circular area (diam. 34.3m N-S; E-W not obtainable due to heavy bramble growth, particularly in W quadrant) enclosed by a high, steep, earthen bank (Wth 1.8m crest, c. 5m base; int. H c. 3m; ext. H 1.7m). In the interior the N quadrant has been quarried into (D 1.08m) which accentuates the height of the bank. Entrance in the S quadrant (Wth 2m), the bank reduces in size towards the entrance. The whole bank is heavily overgrown with scrub. There was an outer fosse but this has been filled-in.
