What is recorded here

On a W-facing slope, falling steadily to edge of river gully. Enclosure identified as roughly circular cropmark on aerial photograph (ASIAP (37) 0-3, 3.8.96). Since then the field has been incorporated into the Slievenamon Golf Club. The area around the enclosure has been modified with artifical mounds and greens created. However, there are traces of a enclosure with a very low, broad, levelled, curving bank. This seems to be all that remains above ground of the E half of the enclosure (diam. c. 30m N-S). There is no visible trace at ground level of the W half. The interior slopes to the W. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
