On fairly level gound in gently undulating terrain. Slievenamon Golf Club is on other side of field boundary, immediately SW of monument. Otherwise ringfort surrounded by ploughed and planted field, ploughing has taken place right up to edge of fosse. Trivallate ringfort (TS077-006----) located c. 450m NW, only top of trees visible as obstructed by farm buildings. Ringfort very overgrown with a lot of collapsed trees and scrub, diameters not obtainable. Enclosed by a bank (Wth 2.4m crest, 3.9m base; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.4m) and outer fosse (Wth 2.7m; D 1m). External face of bank and counterscarp is very steep, possibly recut to facilitate drainage. Fosse waterlogged in places. Bank is disturbed in SE quadrant and there is a narrow cattle gap in the NE and SW quadrants. No obvious entrance, may be in disturbed the SE quadrant.
