What is recorded here

In flat pasture in gently undulating terrain. Roughly D-shaped area (dims. 22.3m NW-SE; no other diam. possible due to overgrowth) enclosed by inner bank (Wth 1.3m crest, 3.2m base; int. H 0.77m; ext. H 0.76m); fosse (Wth 2.9m; D 0.76m) and outer bank (Wth 2.3m crest, 4.6m base; ext. H 0.54m). External bank is more pronounced than internal which is reduced to scarp in S and W quadrant. Lot of scrub in SW quadrant and outer bank appears to have been levelled, but is difficult to see as is heavily overgrown with brambles and scrub. Outer bank is clearly visible from W-NW-N. No entrance feature could be identified. In the N quadrant there is a rectangular structure (dims. 5.7m NE-SW; 11.6m NW-SE) defined by an earthen and stone bank (Wth 1.5m crest, 3.1m base; int. H 0.53m; ext. H 0.73m). The NE and NW sides form the inner bank of the ringfort. Possible entrance (Wth 3.4m) at S end of SW side. Bank is highest at N and W angles and on SE side.
