What is recorded here

Formerly on a natural flat ridge, in undulating pasture. There are extensive views in all directions. A standing stone is indicated as 'leagaun' on the 1901-05 ed. OS 6-inch map. There is no visible trace of the monument in the field. According to local information the stone was broken up and removed many years ago. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of revised upload: 24 September 2014

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
