According to the OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 2, 124) some remains of bawn walls were still visible, c. 1840, to the S of the tower house. Though there are a number of stone walls surrounding the tower house and farm building, all appear to be associated with the later farm buildings. However, some walls were badly overgrown and may contain remains of the bawn.
