On NE-facing slope in undulating pasture. Field boundary runs NE-SW up to and along NW bank. Another field bank running NW-SE joins the monument in the NW sector. Large roughly circular enclosure (diam. 56m N-S; 62m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 2.8-4.1m crest and 7.3-7.8m base; H above int. 0.14-0.47m; H above fosse 2.15-0.77m); broad, flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 2.7-2.9m; D 0.65-1.32m) measurements in NE and S quadrant respectively. Well-cut counterscarp at S quadrant. In W sector the fosse is waterlogged and bank eroded. Interior is grass covered. Hedgerow growing along top of bank from SW-W-N-NE and on counterscarp SW-NW. Scrub on counterscarp in S quadrant SE-S-SW. Outer fosse peters out in SE. NE quadrant bank is particularly high above ext., however external ground level has been quarried and is lower than original. Fosse begins again in NE. Fosse in NW quadrant may have been re-dug as part of field boundary ditch.
