In an elevated position, NE of Cahir. The main house consists of a two-storey over basement three-bay, gable-ended with attic, chimney on each gable, house of late 18th-century date. The house is one room deep (wall T 0.6m) with a narrow stairs (Wth 0.8m). The rear W room has the earliest window, nine over six panes, others are two pane sash. According to Bence-Jones (1988, 267) the house is 'said to incorporate an earlier priest's house'. There is a smaller two-bay house with first-floor dormer windows, joined, at a slight recess, to E gable. It has low ceilings and wall T 0.6m. Added onto this in the 19th century is a projecting two-storey wing which contained a large drawing room and now partially incorporates the kitchen at ground-floor level. The house has been altered internally. No evidence of pre-18th-century date. According to present landowner the house was built by Quakers.
