On natural rise overlooking the Suir river valley. The River Aherlow meets the Suir immediately below the house. The house is two-storey, seven bay with a hipped roof and a stout chimney stack on top of each hip. The windows are long and narrow. The doorway is flat-headed with limestone surround with horizontal reaming and flat pediment above. The house was refurbished in recent years and the architect suggested a date of c. 1718 for its construction. An flat-roofed single bay extension was added to the SE end in the late 20th century.
