On a steep SE-facing slope of Slievenamuck mountain, the hillside is covered in forestry though the area of the ringfort has been left fallow. A forest road runs E-W c. 20m N of the monument. There is an oak tree on the upper bank and one in the interior. The interior (overall diam. c. 44m N-S; c. 48m E-W based on OS 6-inch map) and enclosing bank is heavily overgrown with grasses, holly, brambles, low scrub and dead wood. Due to the overgrowth only the N bank (Wth 2.8m; int. H 1.27m; ext. H 0.28m) and a section of the NW quadrant were visible.
