In pasture, on a gentle SE-facing slope. Sub-circular area (dims. 25m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by earthen scarp (Wth 3m; H 0.35m) SW-NE and truncated by field boundary NE-SW; sizeable breached (Wth 11m) at SW. Intervening fosse¹ (Wth 9.5m; D 0.55m) is SW-NE and is partially truncated NE-SW. Intervening bank (int. H 0.65m; ext. H 1.2m; Wth 9.8m) survives SW-NE. Intervening fosse² (Wth 7.8m; D 1.0m) exists SW-NE. Outer bank (int. H 1.2m; ext. H 0.2m; Wth 3.4m) is intermittent SW-NE. Interior slopes down gently to SE. Inner scarp breached (Wth 3.5m; L 8m) into interior at NNE and second breach (Wth 4.5m; L 8m) at same may indicate quarrying. Sizeable depression within to W may also indicate quarrying. Enclosure (TS071-030----) located 150m to WNW.
