In lush pasture, on a generally level area. Sub-circular area (dims. 22m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by remains of low earthen bank (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.45m; Wth 5m) NE-S-WNW and fosse (basal Wth 1.5m; overall Wth 7.75m; D 0.25m) NE-SE and is levelled out SE-WNW. Sub-circular area and fosse are truncated by earth and stone bank WNW-NE. Earth and stone bank (int. H 0.6-1.1m; ext. H 1.45-1.5m; Wth 6.5-7.7m) is SW-N-SE and truncated by road SE-S-SW. External fosse (basal Wth 1.7m; overall Wth 6.2m; D 0.2m) SW-N-NE is in-filled NE-SE probably due to a trackway shown on latest edition OS 6-inch map. Interior generally level; depression (L 4.5m; Wth 3.3m; D 0.5m) within NW quadrant. Possibly two phases of enclosure (overall dims. 30m N-S; 34m E-W). Depicted on 1840 OS 6-inch map as adjoining enclosure (TS071-028001-) to S, now separated by road (long-axis E-W) as per 1904 edition map.
