What is recorded here

According to Cahill (1982) 'Local tradition indicates that a number of bullaun stones, characteristic of Early Christian sites were present near the Pieta [TS071-011003-] but were removed in recent years'. This tradition could not be confirmed. The location of the possible bullaun stones is unknown. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
