What is recorded here

In level pasture near top of W-facing slope. No visible trace at ground level. Identified by aerial photograph (ASIAP (40) 6-12, 3.08.1996) as a large roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 65m) which was bisected by a field boundary running roughly N-S. The field boundary is indicated on the 1st (1840) and 1903-04 ed. OS 6-inch map but has since been levelled and appears as a cropmark on the ASI aerial photograph. Another, probably later, N-S field boundary cuts through the W quadrant, this has also been levelled and appears as a linear cropmark on the aerial photograph.
