What is recorded here

Outside the town wall (TS070-040032-),at the eastern end of Fethard, at the junction of Burke Street and Lower Green Street. Craig and Garner (1975, 51) noted that, 'At the gable-end of the return of the building, which is a T-plan, is a heavy stack'. In 1993 the heavy stack was visible in the N gable (Farrelly and FitzPatrick 1993, 103). The chimney may have related to a former adoining building to the N, the shallow gable of which was visible in 1993. This building has subsequently been completely rebuilt.
