According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) 'Wee finde alsoe in this parish … a thatcht house wch lyeth in the Towne of Colman' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 209). This Colman may refer to the townland of Colman (Cramptmore) or Colman (Hennessy), therefore the house is unlocated within these two townlands.
