According to the OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 3, 80) 'lying close to the west of the first mention flag' [TS069-045006-] which was in the north east corner of the Church [TS069-045002-] lies another tombstone also with a Black Letter Inscription in the margin'. The accompanying sketch contains the inscription: 'Hic jacet Renaldi filia Johis capitanei Ihiffirnan uxor Ricardi Comyn que obiit primo die mensis Marcii Anno dni M CCCCC [L] xx ix' in a note accompanying the sketch it states that the 'L' which is depicted as a pocked line may be either an 'L' to represent 50 or part of the ornamentation on the tomb. This roughly translates as: Here lies Renaldi daughter of captain John Heffernan wife of Richard Comyn who died the first day of March A. D. 1529 or 1579. There is a build up of soil, vegetation and roots as well as debris, including collapsed masonry from the N wall of the church which is completely covering the interior which prevented this slab from being located at time of inspection. However, it is known to be in the church along the N wall, not far from the other graveslab.
