What is recorded here

In pasture, on top of W-facing slope. Circular area (dims. 31m NW-SE; 30m NE-SW) defined by earthen scarp (Wth 5.0m; H 2.2m). Large, steep sided depression (dims. 16m N-S; 12m E-W) with steep sides occupies most of SW quadrant of interior to edge of fosse. External fosse (Wth 8m; D 0.6m) is covered by trees leaning into it from both sides. Causewayed entrance (Wth c. 5-6m) at ESE adjacent natural depression on exterior. Second causeway (Wth 4m) over fosse at W, where there is slight breach in inner scarp. Outer bank (Wth 5.9m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 0.5m) survives W-N and ESE-SW, however is levelled out, yet traceable SW-W and totally levelled N-ESE. Ringfort (TS069-014----) is c. 265m to SW.
