In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope, enclosed by linear grove of trees to E and S. Sub-circular area (dims. 20m N-S; 14m E-W) defined by steep earthen scarp (Wth 4.0m; H 1.5m). NE-sector of scarp truncated by quarrying activities. External fosse (Wth 9.8m; D 0.8m) is well preserved all around monument and opens out into a semi-circular area (dims. 13m NE-SW; 26m NW-SE) at NE, where the inner scarp of the monument has been truncated. Causewayed entrance (Wth 4.5m) at NNE. Designated as a National Monument (No. 581) in 1979 due to quarrying activites (OPW file).
