Lough Atoor lies c. 200m to the W, with two other smaller number of ponds c. 130m and c. 200m to the SW and WSW respectively.
Indicated on the 1st (1840) ed. and subsequent revised OS 6-inch map as a kink (dims. c. 57m E-W; c. 15m N-S) in the field boundary, with a lime kiln in the NW angle and a farm trackway running across the base of the kink. A roughly oval enclosure (dims. c. 56m E-W; c. 42m N-S), the N portion is defined by the kink in the field boundary and the S portion is defined by a fosse which is visible as a cropmark on satellite imagery (Apple Maps), identified and reported by Jean-Charles Caillère.
