In level arable area (fallow), c. 3.5m from E field boundary. Roughly circular collapse (diam. c. 1m; Dth c. 0.7m) into possible souterrain shaft. According to landowner, he loosened a few stones and caused earth to slump down into hole during ploughing. Possible lintel stone has collapsed over what appears to be a shaft (rod stretches down >1m past side of stone). Slump has since silted up, however possible shaft may be orientated NE-SW. Field boundary (long-axis N-S) c. 3.5m to E.
