According to the OS Letters (1840) 'The site of the Parish Church is shewn in a green field in the Townland of Dogstown, but even the graveyard is effaced' (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 1, 82 (220)). White (1892, 62-3) equates Dogstown with Kilenevy and states that the church was within the grounds of Rockwell College. He describes how 'I remember seeing a head stone there long ago which was erected to a man of the name of Morressy' and goes on to say 'Not a stone now remains of either the Church or the wall which enclosed the graveyard. At the time of my last visit there were seven graves, most probably those of students who died here; far away from home and kindred. There was a wooden cross at the head of each grave' (ibid.). The church (TS068-126----) and graveyard are unlocated within the townland.
