According to the OS Letters (1840) 'The site of the Parish Church is shewn in a green field in the Townland of Dogstown, but even the graveyard is effaced' (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 1, 82 (220)). White (1892, 62-3) equates Dogstown with Kilenevy and states that the church was within the grounds of Rockwell College. He describes how 'Not a stone now remains of either the Church or the wall which enclosed the graveyard' (ibid.). Gwynn and Hadcock (1988, 365) suggest that the site of a monastery at Ibracense stands for Ui Braccain in the region of Cashel and a location for this near the present Rockwell Collage has been mooted. The church and graveyard (TS068-126001-) are unlocated within the townland.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
