What is recorded here

In reclaimed pasture, on gentle N-facing slope of gently undulating land. Sub-circular area (dims. c. 28m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 3.25m; H 1.15m) SW-W-WNW, steep scarp (Wth 7.2m; H 2.45m) NW-N-ESE and gentle scarp ESE-S-SW. External fosse (Wth 6.45m; Dth 0.3m) SW-W-WNW. Probable earthen field boundary (Wth 5.2m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.5m) flanks fosse SW-W-WNW and turns at right angle away from monument, to W. Interior poached by cattle and covered in mature thorn trees. Small, firm mound (dims. 2.5m NE-SW; 1.5m NW-SE; H 0.4m) of earth and stone is enclosed to E and S by latter field boundary. Both a scatter of loose stone and numerous piles in and around monument. Wet pools of mucky water to N, E and Lough Muck to SE. Enclosure (TS068-044----) c. 275m to WSW.
