What is recorded here

In the chancel of Athassel Abbey (TS068-013----), 0.4m from the N wall and 3m from the E gable. The upper portion of a tapering limestone slab (L 0.92m; Wth at top 0.55m; Wth at base 0.53m; D 0.16m). The slab appears to be lying face down, two edges have straight sides (D 0.05m) with a chamfer below (D 0.13m), the dexter side has a straight edge and the upper edge is broken. The underside (upmost) is not very rough which suggests it may be post-medieval in date. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 3 June 2014
