On a hillock in undulating pasture. The River Ara flows roughly N-S c. 60m to the E. Slievenamuck dominates the view SE-S-SW. A standing stone (TS067-130----) is visible 130m to the SE and there is a ringfort (TS067-028----) 57m to the SSE. This standing stone (0.43m x 0.4m; H 1.4m) is subrectangular in plan and is orientated NE-SW. The stone tapers towards the top (Wth 0.25m) and has an uneven surface, possibly due to spawling. There is a hollow around the stone which has been caused by cattle poaching.
