According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in ‘Garryduffe one sixth p[ar]t of a colpe', which was under the proprietorship of ‘Edmond Bourke of Garryduffe Irish Papist’ in 1640, ‘On the s[ai]d lands stands an old decayed mill & a brooke leading eastwards' (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 33). This watermill is unlocated within the townland of Garryduff. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 22 Janurary 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
