What is recorded here

In improved pasture (longish grass at present), on top of rise. Good views in all directions especially to Galtee mountains to SE. Plectrum shaped/sub-circular area (dims. 34m N-S; 36m E-W) defined by remains of levelled scarp (Wth 1.7m; H 0.2m) best preserved W-N, and surviving in a reasonable levelled out, yet traceable form N-S-W. Mature deciduous tree on scarp at W. Possible fosse (Wth 2.8m; D 0.1m) visible intermittently all around. Interior generally level in SSW-half and sloping down to NE in NNE-half. Disturbed area within NW-quadrant is also visible on aerial photograph (ref. OS 2437/6) and is likely a small-scale quarry (disused and now grassed over). Ditch barrow (TS066-083004-) within interior, just off-centre to NE. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
