What is recorded here

In improved pasture, on a plateau of a N-facing slope. Circular area (dims. 4m N-S; 4m E-W) defined by distinctive fosse (Wth 2.45m; D 0.18m) with traces of possible outer bank (Wth 4.05m; int. H 0.18m; ext. H 0.05m) best preserved NW-NNE and E-WSW. Interior is slightly dome shaped sloping down gently all around to fosse. Perimeter of interior is c. 0.08m below exterior ground level, but crown in centre of dome shaped interior is same height as exterior ground level. visible on aerial photograph (ref.
