In improved pasture, on a low rise overlooking lower ground to N. Sub-rectangular area (dims. c. 32m NNW-SSE; 25m ENE-WSW) defined by a natural scarp (Wth 5.5m; H 0.9m; L 19m) to N and more gradual scarp (Wth 3.25m; H 0.3m) to E (L 38m) and W (L 24m). Water from pond abutting to S drains into fosse-like water channels on W, N and E-sides. Interior has a natural rise with ground falling on all sides. Shallow linear depression (long axis E-W) cuts across centre of interior. Remains of possible square enclosure off-centre to W. Identified as an enclosure on an aerial photograph (OS 2436/5). Surface of surrounding field uneven due to land consolidation and drainage.
