In improved, gently undulating pasture, on a ENE-facing slope, overlooking area of fen to WSW. Circular area (dims. 10m N-S; 9.5m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 0.75m; H 0.15) which has been raised (scarp Wth 1.5m; H 0.2m) to E to compensate hillslope. Fosse (basal Wth 0.3m; overall Wth 2.55m; D 0.15m) WNW-NNW. Interior has a slightly uneven surface and slopes gently downward to ENE; slight depression within centre. Identified as a circular anomaly on an aerial photograph (OS 2397/8). Field boundaries indicated on latest edition OS 6-inch map to W and S have been removed.
