What is recorded here

No evidence of any pre-1700 house marked in area of six inch OS 6-inch map. The Civil Survey (1654-6) describes a 'good thatcht house with divers cabbins' (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 57) in the town of Shronell. House marked on Down Survey map (1655-6) roughly in the location on the six inch OS 6-inch map of a glebe house. This house is of 18th-century date with no evidence of any pre-1700 house.
